If you're starting fresh, OpenAI and Anthropic both work well for our agent workflows. Anthropic tends to be slightly stronger on long-form drafting, OpenAI on tool use.
They're a one-time starter grant for new SmartX accounts. We cover up to 1,000 credits of AI usage on your behalf so you can try the platform before connecting your own provider key. Once the credits run out, you switch to your own OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini / xAI key and your $66/month subscription kicks in.
Agents pause until your provider account is topped up. You'll get a notification a few days before that's likely to happen. The zeeproc platform itself stays available, so you can keep using the dashboard, viewing customer data, and editing playbooks without AI calls.
Only the data the agent needs for a specific task. For example, a customer's last 30 days of activity when drafting a follow-up. Your provider's data retention and training-opt-out settings apply (OpenAI and Anthropic both offer no-training options on paid plans). zeeproc never sends data to a third-party LLM without your key.
Yes, at any time. Swap your key in the dashboard and agents resume on the new provider. You can also configure different providers for different agent workflows. For example, Claude for drafting and GPT for classification.
Yes, with a small extra step. Self-hosted models (vLLM, Ollama, LiteLLM, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) need to be enabled on your account by our team. Reach out via the contact page with a note about your setup and we'll switch it on. This is the path most teams running on regulated data take.
